Overview

Comet C/2020 F8 (SWAN) is an object whose orbit does not match any defined comet orbit class. NASA JPL has not classified SWAN as potentially hazardous because its orbit does not bring it close to Earth.

SWAN orbits the sun every 198,000,000 days (542,094.46 years), coming as close as 0.66 AU and reaching as far as 13285.34 AU from the sun. Its orbit is highly elliptical.
