Overview

Comet C/2000 B2 (LINEAR) is an object whose orbit does not match any defined comet orbit class. NASA JPL has not classified LINEAR as potentially hazardous because its orbit does not bring it close to Earth.

LINEAR orbits the sun every 233,000,000 days (637,919.23 years), coming as close as 3.71 AU and reaching as far as 14832.29 AU from the sun. Its orbit is highly elliptical.
