Overview

Khufu is a small asteroid whose orbit could bring it in close proximity to Earth. NASA JPL has classified Khufu as a "Potentially Hazardous Asteroid" due to its predicted close pass(es) with Earth.

Khufu orbits the sun every 360 days (0.99 years), coming as close as 0.53 AU and reaching as far as 1.45 AU from the sun. Khufu is about 0.7 kilometers in diameter, making it larger than ~97% of asteroids but small compared to large asteroids, comparable in size to the Golden Gate Bridge.
